I don't understand why so many people find it difficult to comprehend how two things can both be right simultaneously. Yes, there was mass rape (and far worse) during the German invasions of Poland, the Soviet Union and elsewhere. That doesn't, in turn, justify the mass rape of women and girls in Germany in 1945, or make its lifelong consequences any less devastating for the victims.

What a desperately sad story , the suffering of women in a time of war like that is the lowest of the low , I watched the Nina hoss film anonymous years ago , that was a sad film to watch
