Fascinating Katja, every day is a school day. I knew about the Swedish involvement in the Thirty Years War and the artist Caspar David Friedrich but little else. Extraordinary history, much of German history compressed into one region. I like the sound of that beer. Good read with my Thursday morning coffee.

My mom talked often about , even being born in „Ostpreußen“. Nonetheless the longing to these places never subsided for here and I bet for many others as well. Your travel log encourages me to visit the places of my mom’s stories…. Thank you 🙏
