I did watch it,mainly out of curiosity while at the same time thinking is this really necessary do we gain any further knowledge ,on balance the way psychological information is extracted from a speck of blood is endlessly fascinating and of course being Hitler's DNA makes the whole project controversial. A careful line to tread the difference between excusing and explaining.

Full disclosure I have not watched the documentary but I am aware of the stramash in the media. And to be honest I am unlikely to watch it. As you say provided the research has been thorough and scientifically rigorous it adds to our knowledge of the man. And that’s a good thing. The public don’t welcome nuance and complexity.

I'm all for advancing our base of knowledge and am very interested in any results the researchers might be able to fine via Hitler's genetics. Quite fascinating stuff!

Perhaps it’s me but I fail to see the relevance of examining his blood; what does so doing further? If the claim is made that his DNA showed some mental defect, well, golly gee, ain’t that a shocker?
